Photography Project 1-Color and the Rule of Thirds

  1. This picture is titled "Through the Field".
  2. It was taken across the road from my house.
  3. This picture represents the Rule of Thirds. The ground and plants take up the two bottom thirds of the grid and the sky takes up the top third. The tree is at an intersection of the grid.

  1. This picture is titled "Walking the Dog".
  2. It was taken in the four-wheeler trail by my house.
  3. This picture demonstrates the contrast between cool and warm colors. The background of the picture is neutral browns and grays, providing contrast to my blue sleeve. This adds further contrast to the bright red leash.

  1. This picture is titled "Abigail".
  2. It was taken on the fence in my backyard.
  3. This picture represents the Color and the Rule of Thirds. I have my sister off center with her eyes at an intersection of the grid. The color is seen in the 'split complementary' colors of blue and pink on her shirt. The colors in the picture are warm with the exception of the blue on the shirt and her eyes.
