Project-Candid Photos

For this project I just followed my siblings around outside and snapped pictures while they played.

1. 'Landing'
2. I took this picture in my backyard
3. I love this picture, mainly because of Abigail's face. I managed to capture her expression and pose right after she came off the slide. I think that it portrays her just being herself.

1. 'Crack the Egg'
2. I took this picture on my trampoline.
3. I took this picture while my sisters were playing games on the trampoline. I don't think that this picture could have been posed. It shows the craziness that ensues on the trampoline (no one was hurt during this game :p)

1. 'Puppy Love'
2. I took this picture right after my sisters got off the trampoline.
3. I love this picture because it shows how crazy my dog is. She was waiting for the kids to get off the trampoline so she could play with them and was excited to see them again. Maggie (my dog) seems to know when I want her to do something for pictures, and (of course) does the exact opposite. If this had been posed it would have been extremely difficult to try to make her jump for this picture. Instead I was able to capture her reaction when she saw my sisters.

Project-Still Life and Movement

1. 'Halloween'
2. I took this picture in my kitchen.
3. This picture demonstrates a still life.

1. 'Travelers'
2. I took this picture from my front yard.
3. This picture demonstrates movement. I used a longer shutter speed to capture the light from the cars on the highway. The sun had gone down and there was not very much light, so I had to turn the ISO up pretty high. It made the photo grainy, but it captured some colors and light in the background that I didn't know was there.

1. 'SpiderBen'
2. I took this photo in my family room in my basement.
3. This picture demonstrates still movement. I had my brother jump off the couch while I took pictures. In order to get a clear picture I had to have a really short shutter speed. There wasn't enough light and the ISO ruined the picture, so I tried again with my on-camera flash. It made the wall brighter in the middle of the picture, but it allowed me to clearly capture my brothers's jump.
